Black Hills State Universtiy

Black Hills State University is practically in our backyard. It is close, and very convenient for a lot of Belle Fourche High School seniors who plan on staying in the area. It is located in the town of Spearfish, which has a population of just under 10,000 people. Spearfish is a wonderful town with a lot of fun stuff to do. Spearfish Canyon has trails to hike, rocks to climb, and waterfalls to admire.

If you plan on living on campus, the tuition for one year at BHSU is 13,973 for South Dakota residents, and 15,801 for non residents. So its a pretty average tuition cost that compares with a lot of other universities. BHSU offers a wide range of options, with a total of seventeen pre-professional programs which include, agriculture, law, medicine, mortuary science, renewable natural resource management, and respiatory theraphy. About 5,000 students attend Black Hills State University every year.
