The first college I'm going to blog about is South Dakota's very own South Dakota State University. SDSU is located in the town of Brookings South Dakota. They offer 85 different majors and include a wide variety. Also there are 12 pre-professional programs including Pre-Law, Pre Medicine, Pre-Physical Therapy, and Pre-Veterinary. Their class sizes are fairly small, with an average of 35 students per class. The requirements for admissions are as followed. You need to score a 18 or higher on the ACT, have a minimum GPA of 2.6, and rank in the top 60 percent of your class. The total cost of tuition for a South Dakota resident is 13,214.50, and for non residents it is closer to 15,000 dollars. SDSU is home to the Jackrabbits, there are a lot of different sports for both men and women including football, basketball, swimming, soccer, tennis, and track. The town of Brookings is a small town with a population of around 30,000. It is a definite college town with plenty to offer.
